Hi friends!

The year 2026 has already begun. It has been mostly quiet here after the many events in December. This quieter season has been used for a small renovation in the dining hall. We have also been working on clarifying and writing down Koivumäki’s vision and operating principles. Our desire is to create clear guidelines and recommendations for our center. Several hours each day are also spent on heating (wood heating). At the same time, the planning and preparation work for the Prophetic School has begun.

The Prophetic School/course will begin soon. It lasts seven weeks. In 2025, there were as many as 18 students, and the school has been successful. We are expecting several students again this year. During the course, we will host gatherings and open days both at the center and in local churches. The school schedule is March 10 – April 24, 2026. The application and application process can be found on our website. Applications are now open. Several students have already registered, and we will also have additional staff for the duration of the school. Thanks be to God for this.

Various seminars, camps, and open days have been popular at Koivumäki. We are planning more for the coming year. Local churches (Coti and Kuopio Home Church) have also organized camps at Koivumäki, and we remain open to hosting them. We will announce events on our website and social media.

We are planning to build a small cabin in the yard for accommodation use. Our lodging capacity is limited, and especially during events, additional space is needed. We also want to expand and develop our center to enable activities for larger groups. Building an accommodation cabin has been part of Koivumäki’s vision for a long time. The construction project is still in the planning phase. A rough cost estimate for this project is €15,000–20,000. We will provide more information as soon as the matter proceeds to the board for consideration. Let us pray for this project.

We also intend to move forward with the construction project of the Eenok Hall, which was left unfinished in 2015. Discussions have already been held with experts. Prayer and funding are still needed for this as well!

The King’s Kids children’s ministry is gradually starting here in the North Savo region. As Koivumäki Center, we are involved in the ministry, and several times Koivumäki’s children have already participated in KK gatherings. We have been practicing a music and choreography performance for the “Elämä on helmee” event in Kuopio, where the Send team and other YWAM representatives are also involved. We have had the privilege of hosting The Send team under our roof for a week. We pray that the KK ministry, which originally started from YWAM, would gain more momentum and that children and families could participate and experience fellowship with others who share the same heart. In February, we were part of the Elämä on helmee event in Kuopio.

As a prayer request, I would also like to mention our staffing situation. We need people who could take responsibility for the center’s daily operations. At the moment, many responsibilities are shared among a very small team. May the Lord open hearts and circumstances so that the right people can come here.

Thank you to you, our member, for supporting our activities financially and through prayer for many years. Donations have also come in steadily, and we have managed to cover expenses, with a little set aside for the future.
