Hello friend!I hope you are doing well. Have a truly blessed beginning of winter!
It has been a long time since our last newsletter, so we would now like to share some updates and what the Lord has been doing among us.
At the beginning of 2025, we did a lot of practical work at the base, held an open prayer school every Friday, and prepared for the Prophetic School, which we ran together with Jon and Margot Nairn from April to June. The school took place three days a week, and in addition we served with the school team in local churches and in the open evenings and days at Koivumäki. We deeply sensed God’s blessing over the school and are thankful for what He did in the lives of the students and staff. Through the school, we saw Ephesians 4:12 come to life: the saints being equipped for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ. It was a joy to see many take new, bold steps in how they serve God.
We began the Friday prayer evenings on September 5th, and they will continue until December, when we will finish this year’s prayer school with a 24-hour prayer and worship event on December 5–6. On the same weekend that the prayer school started, we held the “Dive Deeper” Prophetic Seminar together with Miriam Rivers. It was a truly blessed weekend in God’s presence, and we saw how the Lord strengthened and equipped many.
We are excited about what else is coming during the rest of the year. We have prayed for direction for this autumn, and one focus we felt led to pursue was the equipping of young people. This autumn, we will be helping to organize various youth nights and events in cooperation with COD Siilinjärvi. We will hold two Oil & Fire nights at Koivumäki, inviting young people to seek God’s face and encounter Him in His presence. In addition, together with a visiting teaching couple at Koivumäki (David & Rodica McGuire), we organized a youth event called Street’n Preach, with the purpose of equipping young people to operate in spiritual gifts in the context of evangelism. During the events, we experienced how God loves, frees, and heals. On the streets, a few people even wanted to give their lives to Jesus. Together with David and Rodica, we also organized a seminar on October 17–19 with the theme “Freedom in Christ.”
For December, we are planning a Christmas celebration for all people in the surrounding area.
We are now praying for direction for the year 2026. We already have some thoughts for the coming year, but we are waiting for the Lord to confirm them, and we will share more later!
Thanksgiving Points
The ministry at Koivumäki has come alive again. This old village school stood empty for 1.5 years, and now it can once again function as a Christian ministry center where we can equip and bless people.
The Prophetic School and its fruit. We saw how God blessed the work.
Good local connection with the body of Christ. We want to be a blessing to churches and believers near and far, and continue working together to reach people.
Prayer Points
Upcoming events: Prayer School, youth events, seminars. What else does God have in mind? We want to remain open before Him with open hearts and hands.
Opening the Eenok Prayer House: We are praying for wisdom for the renovation of the Eenok prayer building. It was built in 2016. There are deficiencies that currently prevent it from being officially used. The Eenok house was born from a vision to be a house of worship and prayer for all nations. We believe it will yet be used as a place of worship, praise, and prayer, and also host training and equipping. We hope that in the future it will become our primary gathering space. The project is still unfinished, and we need skilled expertise, wisdom, and financial support to complete it.
Growth of our staff team: As we have organized various events and schools, we have noticed the real need for more hands. We especially need more staff for practical work (kitchen, cleaning, etc.) during events, as well as people who carry a heart for children and teaching them.
We want to cover all these things in prayer before the Lord.
Have a very blessed early winter! If you have any questions, would like to help, or want to pray with us, please feel free to contact us. You are warmly welcome to our events!
Blessings,The staff of YWAM Koivumäki
